Side note: this is part one of a series of stories staring, Xavier Bowmen.
This is one of the crossovers that will be in the series, there is one that is
in all of the parts, but will be keep secret. Bonus points to the one who
figures it out first.
Placing note: This Arc takes place in the time after "All Good Things..." to a
bit after "Generations" (I hope)
You can e-mail me to get previous parts.

Chapter 2
Captains Log, Stardate: 43956.2, The _Enterprise_ is nearing the Lone
Planet, we have had no communication from the _Anne_McCaffrey_ for four
days. The last message from them said that an unknown life form had ripped
out of the chest of their engineer, who previously had another unknown life
form attached to his face.
Caption Picard sat in the center of the bridge, looking at the main
view screen. Currently it showed the silhouette of the Lone Planet.
"Time to arrival Mister Data?"
"Approximately one minute sir." Data said from his position at the ops
console.
"Very good."
"I have located the _Anne_McCaffrey_ sir." Lt. Worf said from his position
at the tactical station.
"On screen." The view screen changed to show the ship drifting in space.
All outside lights were off and there was a large hole in the side. As the
ship tumbled in place they saw that one of the warp nacelles was missing.
"What happened?" Riker asked.
"I am getting interference from the ship, I can not get an accurate reading
of life signs." Data said.
"Do you sense anything, Counsellor?" Picard asked.
Deanna concentrated, then replied, "I feel that many of the crew are still
alive, but in great pain."
Picard looked at Riker. Riker stood and said, "Data, Worf, you're with
me," and walked to the turbolift. Data and Worf followed.
* * *
Riker, Worf and Data entered Transporter room three. Inside, Lt. Harvey
stood in front of the control panel. The three members of security that Worf
had requested, Lt. Lister, Lt. Chang and Lt. Young, were already standing
on the transporter pad.
"Just a second, Commander," Harvey said. "Most of the lower decks are
blocked for some reason, and the rest are not clear enough to safely
transport into. I'm going to set you down in the shuttle bay."
A few seconds later the six where standing in the shuttle bay of the _Anne_
_McCaffrey_.
With a practiced motion, Worf, Lister, Chang, and Young all had their
Phasers out, Riker was holding a light, and Data had his tricorder opened.
The inside of the ship was pitch black. The air was filled with strange
sounds.
"I am detecting one life sign, human, two decks above us, sir." Data said.
"Where is the nearest Jeffries Tube?"
Data quickly scanned the walls until he found one, then removed the
panel covering it. They quickly worked their way up the two decks. As they
came out of the tube, they saw that they corridor was covered with blast
marks, and parts of the floor had been dissolved, as if by acid or staser.
"The life sign is from behind this door." Data said, standing in front of a
badly dented door, halfway down the corridor.
"Can you open it?" Riker asked.
"I believe so sir." Data put his tricorder away, and started to pry open
the door. When it had opened about two inches, the tip of a type III phaser
rifle protruded, the tip started to glow, showing that it was about to fire.
"We're from the _Enterprise_." Riker said. The rifle stopped glowing and
lowered, the doors slid open. Inside of the room stood Xavier Bowmen, who had
served his last two years in Starfleet on the _Enterprise_.
He held two rifles in his hands, and had six more slung over his back.
"Hello Commander Riker." He said. "Did you arrive on board with six people?"
"Yes why?"
"Then you haven't run into the Aliens yet. The dragged off the crew members
that they didn't kill."
"Aliens?"
"That's what they're called. We got some information from the computer
core off the debris from one of the satellites. It's on the bridge current-
ly."
"Why the bridge?" Worf asked.
"Because we though it was the safest place. Close the bulkheads, and we
would be safe, but they made their way past the bulkheads along the Jeffries
tubes, and then got into the life support. I barely got out. How many type
II phasers do you have?"
"Six."
"Three kills."
"What do you mean?"
"It takes two full charges of a type II at one time to kill one of these
bastards, a full type III." He made a quick glanced around. "Data and Worf
can stay, you others better beam back to the ship."
"Why?"
"Because they're the only two fast enough to even have a chance. Trust me,
I had time to study the info from the core, before they cut the computer
access. I have partal details of the 'Ripley' encounters. Which are the first
three."
"Even if you are right, we can't beam out, the lower decks are blocked, and
the upper decks are scrambled."
Xavier punched a few buttons on his PADD, "Not any more, and if the lower
decks are blocked it's because they did it. So Worf and Data stay with me,
and we will retrieve the computer core."
Riker concided what he had said, he had been on may missions with Xavier
before. If he said something, it was, most likly, the best thing to do. So he
decided to do what he suggested. He was about to tap his communicator when
Xavier said, "Wait," he pointed at Lt. Chang, "What is your name?"
The short, oriental woman said, "Lt. Maki Chang."
"Any fighting experience?"
"Too much."
"You can stay, I would rather have three behind me then two. Now the rest
of you, get back to the ship."
Riker nodded, handing his phaser to Worf, as did Lister and Young. He
tapped his communicator and said, "_Enterprise_ three to beam up," then
vanished in the glow of the transporter beam.
Xavier tap a few more buttons on the PADD and said, "I just reactivated the
transporter scramble every where excepted within five feet of this PADD."
"Why?" Data asked.
"Because these Aliens are very smart, they learn. They cut most of the
main power and the computer system. I would not put it past them to use the
transporters too. Come on, we've got to get to the bridge."
Before anyone could respond he turned on his heel, and limped down the
corridor.
